Department Overview Our Maintenance and Change Lead is responsible for planning the Preventative Maintenance activity across our statewide Communications network and driving a structured, proactive Change management process to ensure that all modifications to this missioncritical network are managed in a controlled manner with service interruptions kept to a minimum. This also includes working with key Third party suppliers to effectively deliver this work
**Job Description**:
The role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities
Manage the ongoing portfolio of Network maintenance and Change activity.
Planning what is needed, by fostering strong working relationships with the Customer, Engineering team and key 3rd parties.
Communicating this plan effectively, to all stakeholders.
Managing all this in our Core Service Management system, and driving as much system automation as possible.
Holding all Change owners to account for their Change planning and preparation.
Measuring and communicating the health of the Maintenance and Change program.
Developing and implementing key supporting materials, such as training and reference guides.
Vendor management. Coordinating all 3rd party support to assure
Robust planning
Quality of services delivered
Ongoing improvements are made
Value for Money
Service Improvement
Continue the current trend of increasing Change Management success
Research and implement improvements that can reduce effort levels and outage time on the Maintenance program
Comply with Motorola Quality policies and practices.
Problem Management follow up on all issues identified in the Change portfolio and drive remediation and mitigation plans.
Risk Management Identify the Impact and Risks associated with each Change and mitigate appropriately
Basic Requirements
Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and negotiation skills
Demonstrated experience in writing communications material for a wide range of audiences
The ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
High level of attention to detail, ability to organise and analyse information and prepare reports
ITIL Foundations V3 certification and Change Management experience.
Technical training in Electronics IT or Radio Communications
