As our **Transport Maintenance Manager**, you’ll oversee our Transport workshop operations in Beresfield and Mt Thorley, managing a dedicated Transport Maintenance Team to ensure our extensive fleet of Heavy vehicles, Trailers and Light Vehicles are maintained to the highest standards.

**Responsibilities**
- Oversee the daily operations of the fleet maintenance workshop across two Newcastle/Hunter Valley locations
- Lead and mentor two workshop Supervisors, who oversee a team of diverse, multiple skilled trades and apprentices to ensure mechanical repairs, diagnostics, inspections, and preventive maintenance programs for the fleet are completed
- Oversee Supervisors and Workshop Trades, ensuring clear understanding of work requirements, procedures and are well-trained to complete tasks efficiently
- Foster teamwork, demonstrate strong leadership, and provide clear direction to support and guide team members effectively
- Ensure compliance with the company’s OHS, environmental policies, as well as safe operating procedures.
- Manage supplier relationships and ensure high quality timely deliveries for necessary fleet parts and services
- Contribute to new fleet purchasing program as a technical SME and provide expert advice on new transport asset investment strategy
- Manage HR responsibilities, including recruitment and selection, overseeing performance management, setting clear expectations, conducting reviews and providing constructive feedback.

**Success profile**
- Qualified as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
- Proven experience successfully managing multi-trade workshops
- Strong knowledge of fleet maintenance, preventative maintenance requirements, fault and diagnostic repair processes
- Familiarity with compliance requirements for safety and regulatory standards as per NHVR
- High level communication, understanding of customer requirements and appropriate skills in prioritising internal and external customer needs.
- High level of verbal and written communication, time management and organisational skills.
