**Support Worker Required for MND Client - Long Shifts**

We are seeking an experienced male support worker who has worked with MND Clients. The client is located in Mill Park.

Specific times are below, these hours will build over time.

We have a male MND client located in Mill Park who requires care:
Mon : 07am to 11 am

Wed : 07am to 07 pm

Friday : 7 am to 11 am

Saturday : 09am to 09 pm

**Location: Epping**
- _Assistance to mobilise to the toilet, and then safely back to bed throughout the night_
- _Assist with showering_
- Assist with hygiene/morning routine and activities of daily living.Require assistance at home for his morning routine, and to give his wife and sons also a bit of a break

Sri Lankan background and speaks Sinhalese with limited English, and his sons often serve as translator when we are unable to secure an interpreter.

He has been diagnosed with MND - Motor Neuron Disease. No strength in limbs and body. Supported very well by his specialist PT and OT who regularly check in.

He has started using NIV non-invasive ventilation.

The worker must have a car and car insurance as requires community access to attend appointments.

The worker must be able to help with activities of daily living including accessing the community, personal care, possible meal prep and assistance with errands and attending appointments.

To Be Successful:

- NDIS Workers Screening Check
- Current First Aid & CPR
- Qualification or Previous Experience in Aged Care, Disability or Community Supports
- Car and the Car Insurance

We have a lot of regular ongoing work, with regular participant/clients, so you will know when and who you will be working with.

Task include:

- Personal Care
- Assistance with medication
- Meal Preparation
- Community Access
- Companionship
- Domestic Assistance
