**The opportunity**:
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with an amazing national team in the space of sustainability/climate change/net zero/regenerative design. Due to anticipated growth resulting from a strong pipeline of work being secured, we are currently looking to engage a Sustainability Consultant to join our Perth office.

We are looking for someone that is interested to be involved across all aspects of sustainability consultancy from developing high level conceptual project strategies to delivering against defined requirements to verifying performance outcomes in operation.

The Sustainability team within WSP is globally synonymous for prolific creativity and innovation. We have dedicated Sustainability teams established in some of the world's most progressive marketplaces for sustainable buildings and infrastructure.

Our Australian team consists 70 consultants. We come from a diverse background including engineers, architects, renewable energy specialists, environmental scientists and economists. We work across all WSP’s sectors. Our clients are private, government, not for profits and institutional.

We incorporate best practice environmental design into all its projects. We influence strategic design decisions and organisational outcomes. We aim to grow our team with individuals from a diverse range of backgrounds as we believe that this will offer a selection of talents, skills and experiences which benefits our team through creativity, greater innovation and the offer of a range of perspectives and ideas.

**A typical day for you**:

- Handling deliverables for small projects or parts of larger projects;
- Contributing to project planning;
- Liaising with clients and suppliers to develop project briefings and sourcing information;
- Producing designs and reports to meet client requirements for projects, and;
- Present at and contribute to client meetings.

**What we'll love about you**:

- Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent sustainability related discipline;
- 2+ years’ industry experience as a Sustainability Consultant or similar role;
- Understanding in compliance requirements (Section J and NatHERS);
- Experience with best practice certification schemes, such as; Green Star, ISCA IS ratings, NABERS, LEED, Enviro Development and WELL Building Standard;
- Ideally experience with or confidence to undertake technical analysis covering various aspects, such as: thermal and building systems modelling; daylight, energy, water and waste modelling; climate resilience; life-cycle analysis; and thermal comfort.;
- Ability to use basic theoretical knowledge of engineering principles to analyse, interpret and conclude project requirements and challenges;
- Passionate about developing solutions for a low carbon, sustainable built environment, and;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
