Ethical Caring Group are a leading specialist NDIS provider in Queensland. We provide Level 2&3 Support Coordination, Social Work, Recovery Coaching, and Group Work. We work predominantly with participants who have complex mental health concerns but work with all disabilities.

Ethical Caring Group services the greater Brisbane area, Logan, Redlands, Ipswich, Lockyer Valley, and Toowoomba. We also offer remote service Australia-wide.

An exciting new position has been created which will allow you to use your skills as a Support Coordinator, while supporting your team in their roles. The role of Support Coordinator Researcher will see you spending 15 hours of your week working directly with participants and providing Support Coordination to them utilising the funding in their NDIS plans. The other part of your week will be using your research and knowledge to support the other coordinators to carry out their roles successfully.

You will be a key contact for other coordinators to ask questions to and get you to research what they need for their own participants. You will be a key support and guide for the team. You will also be required to provide support to participants for other SC’s in the event of leave or illness

You will be an NDIS superstar and have a working knowledge of everything that happens within the NDIS, including legislation, rules, guidelines and challenges.

**Key Functions**

**Support Coordination**

To provide Support Coordination Support Connection and Life Stage Transition Planning to participants who have this item identified on their NDIA plan.

To be a key point of contact for the participant for the NDIA and all services and support to ensure the full implementation of the participants NDIS plan.

To ensure the participant, the participant and their support network are aware of the principles of the NDIS and the determinations of reasonable and necessary supports.

To build capacity of the clients to manage their own plans and funds when possible.

**Researcher**

As a Researcher for our team of NDIS Coordinators, Recovery Coaches and Social Workers, you will be responsible for assisting them in their daily tasks by finding answers to their queries, identifying, and connecting them with appropriate support services for clients, and providing general peer support. Your role is critical in ensuring that the coordinators have the necessary information and resources to support their clients effectively.

**Project Wor**

We are developing lots of exciting things at ECG and we envision this role will also include project work as required, helping to develop groups, help implementing new support programs and brainstorming new ideas are just some of the things you might be doing

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conducting research to find answers to questions raised by coordinators and sharing the findings with them.
- Identifying and connecting coordinators with appropriate support services for clients, such as disability service providers, allied health professionals, and community organizations.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and services provided to coordinators.
- Assisting with general administrative tasks, such as data entry, report preparation, and scheduling appointments.
- Contributing to the development of processes and resources that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the coordinator team.
- Supporting and assisting Management with any tasks requested

**Requirements**:

- A proven history of study/qualifications in relevant fields such as Community Services, Mental Health, Disability Services, Human Services, Social Work etc.
- Demonstratable knowledge of the NDIS, its legislation, guidelines, and challenges.
- Excellent research and analytical skills, with experience in both supporting and leading team members
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Sound knowledge of the NDIS and the disability sector, including the relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive and flexible attitude towards changing priorities.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
