We are seeking an experienced Asset Maintenance Team Leader to commence asap in a full time temporary position with a local Government Department located in Ipswich.

**This role will be responsible for leading the maintenance team responsible for**:

- Repair, maintenance and installation of playground and other equipment
- Garden/grounds maintenance including retaining walls
- Minor fencing and building repairs
- coordinating onsite contractors
- Equipment maintenance/repairs ensuring assets are kept in a safe and clean state at all times
- Working as part of the team to monitor and carry out a preventative maintenance schedule on local government assets.

The successful person will ideally have a trades background with general handy person skills and experience maintaining facilities and grounds (MR truck licence is essential), along with experience in leading and supervising a team.

Ideally, you will demonstrate an ability to read and interpret drawings, hold current licences and tickets such as working at heights, EWP or AC/DC spray tickets, together with experience using hand and power tools to carry out minor repair work. Previous experience working on hardscape such as retaining walls, fencing or carpentry will be considered highly advantageous.

You will start at the depot and travel to sites in and around the Ipswich area in the crew truck, which you may be required to drive. _If you have been looking to get your foot in the door to a government environment then this temporary assignment as part of our team may be the ideal opportunity to demonstrate your capabilities._
