What to Expect

Tesla Energy is looking for a Construction Lead to work in one of the most progressive companies in the world. A key technical member of a cross functional team that focuses on deploying Industrial Energy Storage Products (Megapack) opportunities with innovative technologies.
- You will be responsible for assisting the project manager in driving EPC project delivery with an emphasis on budget, schedule, safety, quality, and contractor compliance.
- You must have a genuine passion for engineering products that will fundamentally change the world’s energy infrastructure and must want to work in a fast-paced, project environment.

What You’ll Do
- You will be overseeing and directing (at the discretion of the Project Manager) Battery Energy Storage system site construction projects to completion, ensuring quality and timely delivery
- Overseeing Inspection and Test plan approvals, witnessing and governance
- Participating in site quality and safety inspections
- Responsible for project documentation (such as receiving, quality, RFI etc)
- Providing guidance and training on Tesla equipment to subcontractors during construction
- Site representative of Tesla during Construction
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
- Running regular project meetings such as Weekly progress, quality etc
- Health, Safety and Environment Responsibility regarding Contractor/site compliance, including regular inspections and auditing
- Defect identification and close out
- Driving schedule, budget from site level
- Verify project progress and productivity
- Internal and external reporting as required

What You’ll Bring
- Previous experience in similar role (Site manager, construction manager, superintendent) from EPC construction, Infrastructure or Energy projects
- Civil, Electrical or Mechanical qualifications/background
- 5-7 years of professional experience
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to execute many projects and tasks in parallel, self-directed, highly detail-oriented, organized, and flexible
- Ability to travel up to 75% of time, occasionally on short notice.
- Demonstrated experience in customer-focused problem solving.
- Ability to work with mínimal guidance, proactive and motivated self-starter
- Working knowledge of building and engineering standards and environmental regulations
