**Your opportunity to join us This role will be primarily based in Tahmoor with requirements to travel to Head Office in North Ryde.**
The Turkey Planning Manager has overall responsibility for the planning function within Ingham’s Turkey business unit. The focus of the role is ensuring that customer demand is being met on-time and in-full at the lowest cost possible. It is expected that the successful applicant will be capable of engaging positively across Ingham’s to understand the market for turkey products, be able to translate that into clear production direction for the Ingham’s turkey supply chain (further processing, primary processing and farming) and identify any constraints that might restrict our ability to meet the market opportunities that are identified by the sales and marketing business units.
You will also be required to provide operational support to the Plant Managers and cover for GM in their absence.
**Responsibilities include**:
- Understand and be able to clearly communicate the domestic and export market opportunities for turkey products by effectively engaging with the Ingham’s sales and marketing teams, along with our key customers as appropriate
- Be able to translate that demand, using strong analytical skills, into production plans for the Ingham’s supply chain across the further processing, primary processing and farming units
- Be able to clearly communicate those plans through to the sites in enough detail such that the supply chain operates efficiently and effectively
- Identify any constraints that would limit the ability to execute identified market opportunities and be able to clearly communicate the identified constraints
- Clearly communicate the effectiveness of the supply chain in meeting demand and identify areas for ongoing improvement
- Lead the implementation of planning improvement initiatives, including contributing to the Ingham’s Business Transformation Project as required
- Effectively lead a small team

- Demonstrated competence in data analytics and the ability to turn data into meaningful insights
- Excellent planning, time management and execution skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with both internal and external customers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence key stakeholders using well-structured arguments
- Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft software suite - particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of the Alteryx data modelling software and its use would be an advantage.
- Operational experience would be an advantage
