We are searching for a qualified dedicated and deadline-driven Painter with great attention to precision.
The Painter will be expected to use colour theory principles to mix & match shades, follow written and verbal instructions, and prepare surfaces and use a variety of tools to paint them.
Other responsibilities include completing minor repairs and selecting correct paints and primers.
The person may perform touch-ups or coordinate large painting projects in the construction industry.
To be proficient as a Painter, you should have good stamina, physical strength, and time management skills.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Working in a variety of regions across NSW to execute painting projects.
- Selecting the right tools and appropriate paints for projects.
- Preparing the surface by cleaning, repairing and removing old paint.
- Covering exposed objects by decorative faux finishes on surfaces.
- Using fillers like putty or plaster to repair cracks and disfiguration.
- Buying and liaising paint, brushes, and other supplies from store vendors at the right prices.
- Adhering to workplace safety and prepping the surrounding areas by covering to prevent mess
- Collaborating with other professionals like interior designers and construction specialists.
- Cleaning the space once the tasks at hand are successfully completed.
- Being in touch with the client to ensure they are getting what they want.
**Skills and Qualifications**:
Qualifications in Painting and Decorating
- Experience in painting commercial or residential spaces.
- Knowledge of all the mandatory health and safety regulations.
- Decent planning, organisation, and implementation skills.
- Attentive and dedicated to details.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good stamina and physical strength.
**Work Experience**:
2 years of full time experience in painting commercial or residential premises
Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
Work Authorisation:
- Australia (preferred)
