Chandler Macleod, in collaboration with Santos, is currently seeking an experienced D&C Materials & Logistics Coordinator to join the Santos drilling team in Perth, WA. This position works in close consultation with the D&C Operations Superintendents and D&C Engineers to facilitate the movement of people and materials to/from MODUs/platforms to allow execution of D&C projects. The position also assists the Drilling Superintendent with managing MODU based logistics staff.

This is a dynamic role that requires attention to detail with a strong focus on planning and effective communication skills to prevent significant unplanned logistics/rig NPT costs.

**Core Accountabilities**:

- Assisting D&C engineers with procurement, manifesting and well equipment preparation
- Co-ordination of vessel load-outs and back-loads, liaising with Perth, Dampier and the MODU.
- Co-ordination of helicopter movements for personnel and materials to MODUs.
- Supporting MODU and Well Servicing campaigns, at times possibly two operations at once on a 24/7 on-call basis.
- Administration of D&C inventory in SAP to ensure equipment is catalogued, consumed, and stored correctly.
- Optimizing truck, vessel and helicopter movements to reduce logistics costs to a low as practicable.
- Critical to preventing rig NPT through careful co-ordination planning and checking of dispatched materials and equipment.
- Ensures compliance to relevant company and international standards.

**Role Specific Accountabilities**:

- Assists the Operations Superintendent in daily communications with the well site team and relevant service providers with respect to what equipment, goods and services requirements are required, timing and location of same.
- Provides feedback to Drilling Superintendent on potential bottlenecks for delivery of required goods and services.
- Coordinates changes in delivery /back load requirements with SCM and D&C service providers due to changes in rig site activities.
- Ensures transportation service providers understand what they are expected to deliver and when for each rig, including changes necessitated by well operations.
- Works with the Offshore Logistics Coordinators looking for synergy opportunities and sharing for equipment between operations.
- Forecast logistics needs to meet well requirements, including real time updates as wellsite conditions dictate.
- Owns the bill of materials for each D&C project. Manages same in SAP across the procure, transport, consume, reconcile, dispose lifecycle.
- Ensures compliance with dangerous goods legislation and relevant lifting and transportation safety standards.
- Contributes towards continuous improvement through the challenge of existing practices and procedures, and initiates performance improvements.
- Captures and tracks all downtime and opportunity events associated with D&C logistics. Analyses trends and provides feedback to Drilling Superintendent & SCM.
- Assists D&C engineers with fabrication/assembly work scopes (drilling crossovers, shoetracks, completion sub-assembly).
- Co-ordinates repairs to company owned or rental equipment/OCTG.
- Assists D&C engineers with procurement of rental equipment.

**This assignment is initially offered for 12 months, engaged via Chandler Macleod.**

**Location for this assignment is Perth, WA. (Office)**

**About You**
- Extensive experience spent in a town based Drilling logistics role with an Operator, directly supporting MODUs.
- Experience with different projects and rigs is highly preferred (i.e. Jack-ups and Floating rigs. Exploration, appraisal and development drilling)
- Experience spent offshore on MODU crew (in a roustabout, dogman or crane-operator role)
- Demonstrated history of collaborating/communicating well with others especially in high pressure, time critical environments.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of IMDG and DNV codes for transportation and lifting equipment.
- Proficient with SAP and Excel.

**Qualifications**:

- High school qualification required.
- Tertiary qualification is not required, but preferred.
