This role is well suited to an ambitious Graduate with an interest in Energy Markets, Analytics, and Trading. Working in a high performing team of experts, this role can offer unrivalled exposure and career growth within an energy trading function.

The Graduate Analyst/Trader will be responsible for the analysis and support in bidding in the National Electricity Market, with the goal of optimizing the value of the group's generation assets in the physical market.

Key responsibilities will include;
- Analysis of the National Electricity Market to understand supply, demand, competitor strategies and transmission constraints
- Provide analytical support to the wider trading team using the understanding of the National Electricity Markets, to optimise the physical and financial trading positions of the group
- Assess risks and opportunities of plant operations by coordinating with operations staff
- Submit plant offers into the National Electricity Market in accordance with the NEM timetable, and in compliance with internal risk management policies
- Provide some analytical support to other teams in particular the financial trading and electricity retail functions

**About You**
This position is well suited to an intelligent Graduate with tertiary studies in a relevant field, such as Mathematics, Advanced Economics, Engineering, or IT. Strong analytical and quantitative abilities, combined with effective interpersonal skills will be imperative in being successful in the position.
