**About the Opportunity**:
The Spot Market Trader will be responsible for carrying out CleanCo’s physical energy trading activities. This will be achieved through effective stakeholder engagement, trading operations and trading strategy and improvement.
Reporting to the Physical Energy Manager this role will contribute to the spot market returns realised by CleanCo’s energy asset portfolio.
This Brisbane based role will work on an alternating 24/7 roster with other trading team members and includes a mix of working in the office and from home.

**About you**:

To be successful in this opportunity you will have:

- Demonstrated industry experience in energy or financial market trading
- Experience that includes interpreting and working in a regulatory environment with the ability to provide analysis to contribute to trading strategies
- A thorough understanding of operational power generation assets and fuel management
- You are up to date with trends influencing the energy sector and bring a track record for developing strategies in response to change
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g., engineering, economics, commerce, mathematical or related discipline)
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to reinforce commercial decisions
- You have a passion to be part of something bigger than yourself, that contributes to the delivery of low emission, renewable, reliable, and affordable energy for Queensland.
