**The Opportunity**

Our Biotechnology Manufacturing Facility (BMF) at CSL Behring has this excellent **12 month Fixed Term **opportunity available for a **Manufacturing Associate** to join our dynamic team at our Broadmeadows site. Reporting to the Senior Manufacturing Manager, Downstream you will be working on site within the core hours of 7am-5pm, Mon-Fri. Start and finish times may vary depending on business needs and some planned overtime will be required.

**The Role**

In this very interesting area of our business you will participate in activities with the Downstream team in purifying recombinant proteins for clinical trials. We work in collaboration with Process Development, Quality and other technical and business functions. This role will involve a mix of Operator on-the-floor duties plus at the desk writing various documents including SOPs, Work Instructions and Master Documents. Your responsibilities will include:

- Participate in routine activities for the manufacturing of recombinant protein Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API)
- Purification - Chromatography - Ultrafiltration - Virus Filtration
- Produce APIs and/or intermediates according to pre-approved instructions
- Maintain cGxP compliance of Operations and the BMF
- Assist with the technology transfer of the new products from internal or external customers
- Reporting and investigation of critical deviations
- Ensure production areas and equipment are clean and when appropriate disinfected
- Participate in the execution of validation protocols
- Writing and reviewing documentation
- Participate in training and ensure the cGxP training status is current

**Your Skills and Experience**
- Degree qualifications in Sciences, Engineering, Biotechnology or similar
- Experience in a similar pharmaceutical GMP manufacturing and structured SOP environment
- High level technical skill in production environment - Mechanical aptitude essential
- Ability to quickly develop a sound technical understanding of the operational process
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment and facilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven experience writing and reviewing associated documentation
- Good learning agility and able to follow instructions and maintain attention detail
- Work collaboratively in a team with diligence, flexibility and adaptable to required changes
