We are looking for an experienced Paralegal to join our Taxation team to provide hands on support to our clients across a variety of responsibilities.

**About the Role**

We are seeking an experienced paralegal to join our Tax team to support their expanding workload. Working with a small team of experts in their field, this is a great opportunity to further build your career and gain hands on experience with a client focussed team known for managing complexity with outcomes focused on the needs of our clients. You will enjoy being involved in managing optimal outcomes for clients and developing quality relationships with them over time. This is initially a 6-month fixed-term contract however an opportunity for ongoing work may be considered.

**About You**

As an experienced paralegal, this role will involve researching and analysing legal issues as requested to support the provision of legal advice along with duties to assist practitioners including:

- Managing the discovery phase of a case, including assistance in interviewing clients, undertaking research and investigating precedents
- Preparing case notes
- Drafting and proofreading legal, court or tribunal documents, including briefs, statements of fact and contentions, document summaries and checklists
- Organising and managing files, paperwork, data, documents and evidence
- Filing documents with the courts
- Arranging mediation between parties that are in dispute
- Developing and maintaining current knowledge in relation to the taxation practice area
- Ad hoc administration including file closures, archiving and scanning

To be successful in this role you will be someone who can work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, while having excellent attention to detail and a rigorous focus on producing quality work. You will be highly organised and efficient with a strong proficiency in a range of technology solutions including MS Office products, DMS, Aderant and dictation. Experience in Commercial Litigation is desirable.
