An exciting opportunity exists for a talented and passionate individual to join the Strategic Communication, Engagement & Protocol branch (SCEP), in the role of Protocol and Events Adviser at the Department of Premier and Cabinet.
The Strategic Communication, Engagement & Protocol branch (SCEP) leads a coordinated approach to communication, engagement and protocol across government. SCEP has a key role in influencing and encouraging the delivery of modern and professional communication and engagement services and standards across government.
As the Protocol and Events Adviser, you will play a key role in the delivery of events, award programs and stakeholder engagement in the Protocol and Events team including providing advice on a range of protocol, award and event related matters.
In this role, you will also plan, support and deliver a range of live, virtual and hybrid events in a time critical environment.
You will be client focused and have strong event coordination, administration and relationship building and influencing skills.
**About you**
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in event coordination and end-to-end event services including event concept development, planning, briefing, delivery, reconciliation and reporting.
- Highly developed interpersonal and negotiation skills with an ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Sound project management skills with the ability to identify processes, prioritise activities and review and adjust processes, tasks and resources.
- Strong sense of teamwork, and the ability to collaborate and share information whilst working with others to achieve team goals.
- Demonstrated experience in the use of Microsoft Office suite, especially MS Word and Excel, electronic records managements, finance and procurement systems.
