Your role at St John of God Midland Public Private Hospitals.

As the Medical Education Officer (WBA) you will support the planning, management and implementation of the Australian Medical Council (AMC) Workplace Based Assessment (WBA) Program for International Medical Graduates (IMGs).

This position is being offered on a permanent part time basis at.5FTe (38 hours per fortnight)

The Position- Coordinate evaluation and monitor effectiveness of WBA Program and provide support to ensure ongoing development of program. Liaise with and maintain appropriate networks with external stakeholders including licensing authorities.-
- Provide support to WBA Assessors to ensure they have adequate educational resources to fulfil their assessment responsibilities, including the development, monitoring and review of WBA assessor calibration and re-calibration modules.- Monitor and prepare AMC accreditation reporting documents for progress and annual submission of the WBA program, managing performance database tracking and reporting systems to ensure compliance with AMC WBA accreditation standards and to maintain accreditation as a WBA Provider for SJGMPPH.- Develop and maintain professional working relations with DCTs, Heads of Departments and other senior clinicians involved in the WBA program. Responsible for tracking expenditure for WBA program. Undertake other related responsibilities as directed by the Director of Postgraduate Medical Education and Manager Medical Services.- Represent PGME Department and the Hospital on relevant committees and platforms throughout Department of Health and PMCWA and attend Medical Education Workshops and networking groups including those facilitated by PMCWA.

You will have previous experience in a similar role, providing support to Junior Medical Officers (JMOs) in a health care setting and you will be able to demonstrate experience in the monitoring of training programs and feedback evaluation.

You will understand the principles of education and training program development in a health-related field and have an excellent knowledge of AMC and Ahpra requirements. Previous experience working within WBA will be highly regarded.
