**About the role**:
Reporting to the Head of Portfolio, The Portfolio Lead will build the 3-year vision for Salami, Smallgoods and Snacking across selected ranges and channels. This role will lead decisions on range design, profit delivery and alignment with strategy.

Core to this role will be your ability to influence a diverse group of cross functional teams (buy-make-sell), and support decision making at all managerial levels. Please note that the multifunctional nature of this position requires that the role to be based at our Castlemaine site for a minimum of three days a week.

**Responsibilities**:

- Annual Gross Profit After Distribution (GPAD) accountability for the defined portfolio.
- Ownership of the plan to deliver the 3-year strategy, and monthly review of the portfolio performance at IBP/Portfolio Management Review (PMR)
- Conduct end-to-end portfolio analysis and provide specific recommendations and actions to improve performance across “buy-make-sell” on both a long term strategic view, and short-term situational view.
- Accountability for commercialisation and launching the schedule of new-products in line with the innovation plan.
- Ensure innovation funnel is prioritised to align with the Business Unit 3-year strategy
- Manage SKUs through life cycle stages, Lead the tail review process and range-gap initiatives
- Lead the ongoing product-tail consolidation process that contribute to the overall business reduction of SKU’s.
- Lead, prioritise and co-ordinate the customer Tender calendar with commercial team
- Engage with the specific manufacturing areas to drive seamless execution and production efficiency

**About you**:

- Bachelor degree in Business, Commerce or Similar discipline - desirable
- FMCG/Foodservice experience - highly desirable
- Experience in managing and leading multiple projects of varying complexity
- Sound administrative and negotiation skills
- Proven ability to influence key stakeholders, both internal and externel
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven experience identifying and deploying process improvements
- Analytical approach to problem solving
