- **The Co-Group are looking for an experience Female Disability Support Worker in the Croydon area to work 3-4 days per week. Our ideal applicant will have experience working with high physical care needs, including knowledge and competency using manual handling aids. **_

**About Us**

The Co-Group is a growing charitable, not-for-profit (NFP) organisation that offers opportunities for support workers to provide care for clients that include in-home support, group homes, and day centres in the disability and aged care industry. The Co-Group employs a multicultural and diverse workforce including visa holders.

Our staff are experienced in supporting clients in-home while utilising their skills to provide high-quality, compassionate care. There is scope for our support staff to work specifically with NDIS participants, Aged Care clients or a mix of both.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assistance with Personal care is required.
- Manual Handling with a client with Physical Disability
- Getting out for social engagement, activities and attending appointments (own vehicle essential)
- Assistance with household tasks (may include cleaning, meal preparation) if required.
- Assistance with medications if required.

**Your Skills and Experience**

To be successful in the role, you will require the following:

- 6months or more experience as a support worker or lived in experience
- Experience working with clients who are a high falls risk with high physical needs.
- Experience working with Muscular Dystrophy
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Qualification in Disability, Aged Care or related field preferred
- Current First Aid certificate
- Current CPR certificate
- Current Working with Children check
- Current Drivers Licence & access to a reliable vehicle
- The right to work in Australia

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $30.33 - $37.00 per hour
