**Your next career opportunity**
As a Co mmercial Property Manager of Real Estate and Leasing at the University of Melbourne, you'll oversee a diverse and high-value property portfolio across multiple campuses and clinical sites. You'll lead strategic property transactions, manage complex leasing arrangements, and provide expert commercial advice to shape the university's physical future. This role offers you the opportunity to influence major decisions in campus development, optimise a billion-dollar real estate portfolio, and contribute to the university's long-term strategic goals.
**Your responsibilities will include**:
- Portfolio Management: Oversee property acquisitions, disposals, and leasing activities aligned with university strategy and operational plans.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Manage relationships with key external and internal stakeholders, including government bodies, real estate agents, property valuers and university leadership.
- Financial Oversight: Ensure compliance with university financial management requirements, including maintaining accurate leasing schedules and managing rental income and expenses.
- Commercial Leadership: Provide expert input into commercial property strategies and annual portfolio revaluations.
- Team Leadership: Manage and develop a specialist team, fostering a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement.

You are a strategic property professional with extensive experience managing complex leasing portfolios and high-value property transactions, possessing strong commercial acumen and the ability to influence key stakeholders in a large organisation.
**You may also**:
- Hold a graduate qualification in property management or equivalent extensive experience.
- Demonstrate expertise in managing diverse leasing portfolios (60+ tenants) and multiple landlords (30+).
- Show experience in property transactions, including sales and acquisitions
- Possess well-developed business acumen and risk management skills.
- Have experience managing multi-site property portfolios valued over $1 billion.
- Exhibit strong relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrate ability to analyse complex property data and present strategic recommendations.
- Show adaptable leadership skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Have experience with property management systems like Archibus & SISfm (desirable).
- Be willing to work occasional hours outside of normal business hours.
