**About the role**
As a Technical Officer, you will function as a valuable member of the Operational Maintenance team, primarily responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance tasks.
**Role Type**: Permanent or Contract (Both options are available)
**Location**:Edinburgh, SA
**Responsibilities**
- Create basic architectural designs for electronic/electrical equipment that fulfill specific requirements, and actively participate in reviews of these designs.
- Conduct standard functional analysis to assess the strengths and weaknesses of various potential electronic/electrical equipment solutions.
- Create detailed designs for electronic/electrical equipment based on an established hardware architectural design, and actively participate in reviews of these detailed designs.
- Translate the electronic/electrical equipment design into a manufacturable solution and incorporate necessary changes as needed.
- Manage the engineering aspects of product manufacture, specifically related to hardware implementation.
- Carry out the integration and validation of the electronic/electrical equipment design, including contributing to the development of integration and validation plans and reports.
You will also independently perform tasks, examples of which include:
- Conducting routine maintenance
- Carrying out corrective maintenance
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records to meet AMO regulations
- Overseeing and guiding junior staff members
- Certifying maintenance activities
- Assembling commissioning aids and cable forms
- Assisting in component selection and material procurement
- Conducting acceptance testing
- Diagnosing faults
- Managing and controlling inventory
- Following instructions from the Maintenance Manager
**Requirements**:
- Possession of an advanced diploma or associate diploma in electronic and/or electrical engineering, or equivalent experience, along with a Certificate IV in Electronics.
- Experience in developing basic electronic/electrical equipment designs, participating in design reviews, conducting standard design analyses, implementing hardware solutions, integrating systems, performing validation tests, and qualifying equipment.
- Excellent communication skills, enabling effective interaction and collaboration with engineers involved in the project.
- Demonstrated capability to work with confidence in a project team setting.
- Highly self-motivated with a proactive attitude towards advancing assigned tasks.
- Evidenced proficiency in problem-solving abilities.
Applicants are required to hold Australian citizenship and possess either an NV1 Security clearance or be eligible to obtain NV1 Clearance.
