**About the role**

Do you love designing and delivering dynamic and engaging programming that complement Art Gallery exhibitions?

As Community and Public Programming Officer you will plan, develop, deliver, and evaluate a dynamic suite of public programming for the Ipswich Art Gallery. You will also contribute to the programming of the Ipswich Art Workshop and Ipswich Community Gallery exhibition program.

Your experience in engaging community programming will assist in delivering meaningful audience engagement to a range of diverse audiences of all ages.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

- Build audience engagement across the Gallery’s offer through workshops, talk and other outreach activities
- Engage and collaborate with local and regional artists and arts organisations, Indigenous and multi-cultural communities, and other key stakeholders to develop and deliver engaging programming for a wide range for audiences
- Provide support to artists who are exhibiting, presenting, or facilitating programs
- Provide advice on the effectiveness of Gallery programs through feedback on planning and delivery and audience engagement
- Perform a wide range of administrative duties for the management of Gallery programs

**About you**

To be successful in this role you will have:

- A recognised tertiary qualification in Art History, Visual Arts and/or Art and/or substantial experience
- Current Queensland C class driver’s licence
- Current Blue Card or the ability to acquire one
- Highly developed communication and time management skills
- Commitment to Workplace Health and Safety
- Belief in our values of communication, collaboration, integrity, efficiency, and leadership
