**Support Worker (Male) - Mental Health Focus**
**Location**: Creigeburn Area

**About the Role/ Job description**

Grace Quality Care is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Pacific Islander _support worker_ to assist a 20 year old participant with complex non verbal ASD, including and anxiety.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide in-home support (light cleaning, meal prep, general assistance).
- Assist community access; accompany participant group activities.
- Support confidence and social engagement while managing mental health respectfully.
- Follow a participant-led routine.
- Maintain accurate shift notes in line with NDIS reporting and Grace Quality Care’s privacy policies.

**Essential Attributes**
- Must identify as _male_
- Strong understanding of mental health support, including trauma-informed care and social isolation management.
- Patience, emotional resilience, and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Awareness of participant rights, dignity, and privacy.
- Clear communicator (both verbal and visual cues).

**Requirements**:

- Current Australian driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Proof of work rights in Australia (citizenship, residency, or visa with work rights).
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- COVID-19 vaccination in line with public health requirements.
- Completion of the NDIS Orientation Module (or willingness to complete before starting work).

**Desirable**
- Experience or qualification in mental health, social work, community services.
- Familiarity with community resources and services.

Pay: $33.96 - $41.76 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 16 per week
