**About this opportunity**
As a **Commercial Finance Analyst**, you’ll be an integral part of our Finance team, playing a critical role in driving the financial performance and strategic decision-making of the business. In this dynamic position, you’ll take ownership of creating and delivering accurate financial reports, developing insightful performance analyses, and assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts. This position is full time and can be based at our Group Head Office in East Maitland or remotely in Melbourne Victoria with Group Commercial Manager.
This is a hands-on role that involves partnering with various stakeholders across the business to understand their needs and provide actionable insights that drive decision-making and organizational growth. You’ll also support compliance with financial reporting requirements, including ASX and Board submissions, and have the opportunity to contribute to key finance projects that improve efficiency and accuracy.
Your day-to-day will include:
- **Planning & Budgeting**: Partnering with stakeholders to develop multi-year business plans and annual budgets, including monitoring financial health and identifying areas for improvement
- **Performance Analysis**: Producing detailed business performance reports, tracking key performance indicators, and providing recommendations to improve operational effectiveness
- **Forecasting**: Developing rolling financial forecasts, including cash flow and balance sheets, to support continuous business planning and adaptability
- **Financial Strategy Support**: Assisting in financial modeling, scenario planning, and strategic investment decision-making processes
- **Collaboration**: Working closely with the broader Finance team and organizational leaders to deliver accurate data and actionable insights

**Essential Skills & Qualifications**:
- Tertiary qualifications in accounting with 3+ years of relevant experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to deliver enterprise-wide budgeting and forecasting
- Knowledge of finance and accounting compliance requirements
- Advanced Excel skills and financial modeling skills with proficiency in data intelligence tools
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
