**The Opportunity**:
Urbis has an opportunity for a passionate Landscape Architect Consultant to join the Design team in Victoria. There is scope for this consultant to work across our studios in Melbourne and Geelong.
In this role you will demonstrate a broad understanding, passion, and emerging skill base in the areas of landscape, urban, built form, public realm and placemaking design.
Genuine enthusiasm for the pursuit of world class design is essential, as you will play a key role in the team to deliver a range of complex landscape architecture and urban design projects including transport, open space, water interface, infrastructure, and public and private realm projects.
An interest in bio urbanism, green infrastructure and public realm design will be highly regarded.
You will be working closely with our clients and internal/external stakeholders to shape cities and communities; therefore creativity, a collaborative approach, and professionalism are necessary to succeed in this role.

**You will**:

- Participate in creative landscape and public realm design; and deliver input into multiple projects from concept stage through to design development, production, and documentation.
- Maintain knowledge of relevant industry standards and codes to inform an understanding of current trends and best practice design.
- Work across a wide range of project types from individual sites, broad acre green field developments, inner city urban regeneration, transport and infrastructure, retail, open space parklands, waterfronts, commercial developments, and town centres.
- Prioritise multiple projects and deadlines and manage project involvement under the guidance of the Directors, Associate Directors, and Project Managers.
- Problem solve and develop objective and informed insights to aid the design process.
- Utilise excellent verbal and written communication skills in preparing visual aids/drawings, report preparation, preparation of meeting notes, correspondence etc.
- Visually and creatively communicate key design ideas and outcomes in clear and succinct way across a range of methods and platforms including a mix of advanced skills in freehand drawing, the Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD.
- Work alongside other professionals on a range of multi-disciplinary projects, in relation to client briefs, deadlines and budgets towards a suitable commercial outcome

**About You**:

- Tertiary qualifications in Landscape Architecture at a graduate or post graduate level; or related fields
- Minimum 1 - 5 years relevant experience, ideally gained in a private practice or with local council or government.
- Communicates graphically at a proficient level using both digital and hand drawn formats to convey design ideas, concepts and documentation
- Is a competent and efficient AutoCAD user and is a competent and efficient user of relevant components of the Adobe Suite, AutoCAD.
- Experience using Revit, SketchUp, Rhino and other 3D modelling software desirable.
- Engages in cross-team communication and solution development to help inform outcomes and project delivery.
