QI Coordinator overseeing the organisation’s QI program in relation to Certifying Accreditation Bodies

This is a not-for-profit community-based organisation based in Sydney. The company provides residential, day programs and other related services for individuals experiencing drug and alcohol dependence.

Your new role

In your role as the QI Coordinator you will oversee the organisation’s QI program in relation to Certifying Accreditation Bodies (CABs) and any other certifiers as required (ACHS)
- Coordinate and ensure compliance with accreditation requirements
- Support compliance systems, this includes quarterly site visits to review QI systems
- Coordinate preparation for accreditation with designated CABs within the ongoing quality cycle
- Develop, as required, policies and procedures, guidelines, forms, and systems to meet recommendations from the QI committee and from accreditation guidelines.
- Develop and implement the QI program to ensure the quality development of the organisation and compliance to all legislative requirements
- Develop, implement, and document activities relating to the Quality Improvement framework
- Coordinate the QI meeting and monthly activities
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of CABs and related regulatory and quality issues
- Ensure the organisations’ systems comply with legislative, industry and accreditation /certification standards
- Ensure the organisations’ systems are periodically evaluated and improved by conducting reviews, evaluations and implementing recommendations for best practice and quality improvement
- Monitoring of the organisation’s Risk Register

What you'll need to succeed
- Relevant tertiary qualification/s and/or experience working in health, social services or related sectors
- Expertise in developing and implementing quality frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and contribute to consistent and innovative work practices
- Commitment to a high standard of work and sound organisational skills, including the ability to multi-task
- High level IT competency, including the use of Microsoft Office programs
- Experience in designing documents, spreadsheets an advantage
- Knowledge of the not for profit sector or government sector specifically in relation to quality, regulatory and/or accreditation ideal
