**Client**
Our client is one of the world’s leading poultry breeding company. It is a global business with production bases on 5 continents and a distribution network that enables supply to customers around the world. A unique opportunity has opened up to join this prestigious company as a Quality Assurance Technician.

**The Role**

The Quality Assurance Technician will be responsible for the review and ongoing maintenance of the quality systems throughout the Hatchery. Involvement in customer complaint investigations and identifying areas of continual improvement are key aspects of this role.

**Responsibilities**
- Quality control schedule e.g. chick weights, temperature checks, chick assessment, chick truck temperature monitoring
- Hygiene sampling schedule e.g. ATP, environmental, water and bird sampling
- Monthly hygiene testing
- Assist the logistics Coordinator in the fumigation of trucks, ensuring all procedures are followed
- Transport temperature monitoring
- Hatch data, Quality data to be filed daily to enable Investigations to be carried out

**Skills and qualifications**
- Knowledge of poultry hatchery operations would a decided advantage (but not necessary)
- Clear communication and reporting skills
- Previous tertiary or workplace experience
- Minimum two years’ experience in this field or similar
- Sound knowledge of computer systems, Word, Excel, Spreadsheets
- Ability to be a team player
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Excellent Data entry skills
- Good understanding of equipment and environmental; management
- Knowledge and Understanding of the Animal Welfare codes
- Knowledge of QC reporting scope and procedures.
- Microbiological sampling and testing
- Flexible in terms of working hours

**Remuneration and Location**
The role offers an excellent salary package including superannuation. The role is located in Goulburn, New South Wales.
