**Client**
Our client is one of the world’s leading poultry breeding companys. It is a global business with production bases on 5 continents and a distribution network that enables supply to customers around the world. A unique opportunity has opened up to join this prestigious company as a Maintenance Technician in the hatchery.

**The Role**
The Maintenance Technician is required to assist with the execution of a site-specific preventative maintenance program including managing the spare parts inventory, external suppliers and tradespeople, with an aim of optimising availability of all equipment/plant within the facility. This work is specifically in the Incubation and Hatchery equipment section.

**Responsibilities**
- Ensure all maintenance activity maintains health and safety, biosecurity, residue and animal welfare programs
- Manage the hatchery maintenance function maximising throughput of all products
- Maintain hatchery facility, plant and equipment
- Maximise labour utilization and cost control
- Meeting the internal customers’ requirements

**Skills and qualifications**
- Experience as a maintenance technician
- Additional electrical, engineering, fitter, or similar qualifications would be advantageous for a deeper understanding of hatchery machinery.
- Demonstrated hands-on maintenance and repair skills, including experience with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
- Experience in running a maintenance management system, covering planned, preventative, and breakdown maintenance.
- Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools and material handling equipment
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety compliance
- An understanding of the incubation process would be a decided advantage

**Remuneration and Location**
The role offers an excellent salary package including superannuation. The role is located in Goulburn, New South Wales.
