The Digital Content Producer will plan, create and coordinate engaging and effective digital content across department digital channels.
They will effectively manage and balance priority work, stakeholder needs, and the delivery of high-quality creative products to enable achievement of the department's strategic objectives.
They work closely with Branch colleagues, minister's offices and relevant business areas within the department and will use creative content to tell stories that demonstrate the benefits of government policies and initiatives. They are responsible for ensuring all content is clear, engaging and timely, and aligned to the department's digital strategy and strategic plan.
As appropriate, they may also be required to provide surge support to other policy portfolios to ensure effective media and communications services can be delivered by the Branch during emergency, crisis and peak periods.
Accountabilities
- Develop engaging digital content across department digital channels to support the implementation of content strategy and channel planning.
- Ensure content is accessible and optimised for web, through SEO practices including keywords and tags.
- Provide digital communications advice and work collaboratively across the division to deliver effective communications of a high written and visual standard and which comply with departmental and whole-of-government guidelines.
- Respond to website feedback, solving simple problems, negotiating with stakeholders and escalating issues of concern.
- Publish content in accordance with the content strategy and editorial plan and emergency response as required.
- Contribute to Communications and Engagement Branch strategy and services activity, monitor performance and lead best practice planning and execution that aligns resources to strategic priorities.
- Forge strong connections with stakeholders (internal and external) and work cross-functionally with other members of the Communications and Engagement Branch to facilitate consistent and high standard strategic content.
- Provide advice and assistance to departmental staff, senior executives and minister's offices on digital media services.
- Support digital literacy and digital media integration by providing advice to branch colleagues on integrating digital into communications strategies wherever relevant.
- Collaborate with stakeholders (internal and external) and work cross-functionally with other members of the branch to ensure the delivery of seamless and professional communications services for all areas of the department.
