**The Service**

**KU Union Children’s Centre **, **located on the edge of Sydney University and within walking distance from Redfern Station **is a long day care service proud in providing a rich education and care that concentrates on individual children in a family-focussed and supportive way.

Our service is a welcoming and nurturing space where each child is immersed in a rich tapestry of educationally interactive experiences - a space where children are supported to be their own, unique selves, growing and developing a sense of belonging and empowerment.

With a strong connection with Sydney University, our service has been independently assessed by the Department of Education NSW under the National Quality Standards, and are proud to be rated as Exceeding the National Quality Standard.

**The Role**

This is the perfect opportunity for a **Certificate III qualified **child care educator to join one of the leaders in early childhood education.

**On offer is an exciting full time permanent opportunity to join KU Monday to Friday, accruing a monthly Rostered Day Off (RDO).**

**About You**

We want you to be as passionate about early childhood education and as committed to achieving positive outcomes as we are. Knowledge of Primary Caregiving Practices and Circle of Security would be highly desirable.

**To be considered for this role, it is essential you have**:

- Work rights to enable you to work full time in Australia
- A valid NSW Employee Working with Children Check
- A recognised Certificate III in Children's Services qualification or similar as approved by Australian Children’s Education and Quality Authority (ACECQA)
- Child Protection training and knowledge of current legislation and its implications for the care and protection of children
- Sound understanding of the NQF, EYLF, Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011)
