**The opportunity**

Your role supports UniSuper doing this by creating a risk aware culture amongst an assigned area of the organisation through embedded first-line risk management. Your work enables informed decisions on risks and controls related to UniSuper’s fund administration. As UniSuper reaches an important point in our growth journey your role is a crucial enabler, partnering closely with the leadership team your assigned area and interfacing with other business areas to enable strong risk management in decision making and position the fund to take opportunities in support of its Strategic Business Plan.
- Understanding how change will be delivered into the business and ensure risks arising are assessed and effectively managed.
- Managing the roll out of relevant policy changes in relation to risk and compliance impacting your business unit.
- Driving Risk Management capability amongst our team, building strong awareness of risks, controls, and decision-making techniques.

**About you**

We are looking for an individual who has worked in fast moving transformation environment and is comfortable working with a degree of ambiguity. A core marker of success is a demonstrable influence in the business climate that helps your assigned area to make informed decisions based on clear risk data. Those decisions will enable the fund to take advantage of strategic opportunities and avoid realising unexpected risk. Over time, your contribution will ensure sustained management within the funds risk appetite whilst enabling UniSuper to exploit new opportunities in the interests of members.

**You will also bring the following experience**:

- Strong risk management and/or audit experience (relevant accreditations preferred); with significant demonstrable professional experience, ideally in superannuation, financial services or financial advice.
- Knowledge of the legislative and regulatory framework governing the superannuation, funds management, financial advice, or financial services industry.
- Some experience in project risk management preferred
