This position is with a family owned group of companies, encompassing a broad range of industries including property management, hospitality, construction and plant hire. We are a local, family owned business with multiple projects in the Lake Macquarie/Central Coast/Newcastle area. Our business is growing and we are presently seeking talent to join our hardworking team.
**The Role**
An experienced Administration, business support, or Bookkeeper to assist with administration of our operations including data entry of operational data, payroll, AP, AR, procurement, and general business administration. This role is an important connection between our operations, personnel and management team.
**The Doing**:
- Assist with the procurement and onboarding of subcontractors and suppliers with detailed input from Manager and legal team
- Preparation of progress claims and ensuring their timely payment
- Data management of daily operations including labour, materials, plant and subcontractors
- Reporting - costs, revenue, utiliastion etc
- Assist with procurement of materials and retaining of records
- Administrating leases, CPI increases and documentation with tenants
- Assist in the maintenance of our integrated management system including reviewing and updating processes and documents in alignment with the changing operational requirements of the business
- General business administration
**This role would suit someone with**:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Some exposure to trades, construction, civil or mining as this is our core business
- A comprehensive knowledge of business administration and bookkeeping
- Confident communication skills; verbal and electronic, that result in clear outcomes and reliable information between team members, suppliers, stakeholders and subcontractors
- An ability to manage priorities and complete work items on time
- A solution focused disposition
- Experience using accounting software such as MYOB Construction, SAP, Primavera etc
**Role commencing imminently, ongoing role with varied and interesting scopes of contracts, local role based in Morisset in brand new office, some WFH considered when appropriate, above award conditions, further skill/qualification development is supported and encouraged. This position is potentially suited to working around school aged children or alternative hours.**
