About the Role
- Employ organisational techniques to plan, document, implement and evaluate a comprehensive recreational and diversional therapy program for the consumers in collaboration with nursing, allied health staff and other team members appropriate to consumers.
- Work in collaboration with the consumers, carers and others to develop age related and culturally sensitive recreational and diversional activity programs to meet individual consumer needs.
- Demonstrate a consumer centred approach in the assessment of diversion or recreation therapy needs, using assessment tools to determine the database for the particular consumer population and appropriately modify and diversify activity provision.
- Regularly evaluate the recreational and diversion activity programs and develop new and or additional services in accordance with changing needs of the consumer caseload.
