We currently have a rewarding opportunity as a Procurement Specialist - Workplace Solutions to be based at either in Adelaide or Melbourne. This role offers two years fixed term contract role with a possibility of extension or changing to permanent opportunity.
Hybrid working arrangement, flexible start and finish time and a 9 day fortnight full-time working are on offer.

**Your new role**:
Reporting to the Category Manager - Workplace Solutions you will be responsible to establish, place and manage the appropriate contracting arrangements with capable suppliers to deliver the cost, schedule, quality and safety requirements of the business, which, through effective relationship and performance management, maximise value and minimise risk.

More specifically, you will
- Collaborate and support category management with the relevant line of business or project
- Manage the procurement elements of bids and tenders ensuring robust definition of requirements and commercial terms
- Lead supplier evaluation and negotiations whilst supporting sourcing recommendations on behalf of the business
- Support the development of robust supplier sourcing strategies and develop/implement cost saving initiatives
- Proactively manage the performance of suppliers to achieve the requirement of contract from a schedule, cost and quality perspective
- Identify and manage supplier risk and opportunities, raise awareness and supporting the implementation of leading procurement practices both within the team and across the project
- Implement and follow the procurement policies and processes ensuring compliance with relevant acts, legal demands and ethical standards

About you

**As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you'll have**:

- Demonstrated experience in procurement and /or supply chain with a proven track record in the development and execution of category management strategies mainly in facilities management and Common Standard Form Construction Contracts.
- Sound commercial acumen with an ability to contribute to the resolution of procurement issues and proven success of cost saving/cost reduction out of the categories spend
- Strong project procurement experience with strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
- Collaborative advisor with an ability to engage and influence effectively with a wide range of external and internal stakeholders and customers

Whilst not essential, degree qualification in procurement, supply chain or project management with a professional procurement qualification like MCIPS accreditation is desirable
