**About The Role**

Reporting to the Head of Risk and Compliance, you will be part of the Line 1 Risk team for the Betting, Product & Data (BPD) Department. Your focus will be to assist with the design, implementation and embedding of our risk and compliance frameworks, supporting the Risk, Value & Trade Team (RVT).

The Compliance Specialist will drive compliance related activities, quality assurance and operational control testing predominately across our Risk & Trade function to build and continuously review, enhance and finetune our systems and processes to ensure with comply with our regulatory obligations and manage our commercial risks.

The Compliance Specialist will directly interface with the business as well as second-line Risk & Compliance Business Partner and members of the Legal Team by seeking legal and compliance advice. Such advice is then translated into direction and guidelines which can be operationalised by those front-line teams.

Regulatory acumen, growth mindset and strong attention to detail and accuracy serves the Compliance Specialist well in this high profiled, dynamic role.

**Responsibilities Include**:

- Implement first
- and second-line risk and compliance policies and processes to ensure that regulatory obligations and commercial risks are appropriately identified, assessed, reported and monitored through control testing.
- Develop, maintain and update RVT policies, procedures and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory obligations and appropriate management of commercial risks.
- Act as key point of contact for breach & incident investigations and work with SMEs (e.g. Line 2 Risk, Legal) towards resolution, communication and alignment.
- Conduct reviews/oversee assurance of Risk & Trade key business processes and controls to ensure the continued adherence to and effective implementation of policies, procedures and regulations.
- Lead the uplift in Risk Culture across RVT and BPD.
