**About the Role**

The Teacher Librarian will have expertise in providing literature-rich learning programs, supporting the development of research skills and promoting a positive reading culture across the Primary School. Knowledge of the Primary years Program is desirable as this role is integral to supporting the implementation of the PYP.

**About You**

You are dedicated, passionate and possess the following:

- Proven experience to develop innovative academic pathways to achieve outstanding academic results for all students within the library.
- Maintain literacy as a high priority, engaging students in reading, viewing and listening for understanding and enjoyment.
- Proven experience of teaching primary aged children.
- The ability to work collaboratively with other members of staff and lead others.
- PYP experience or an understanding of Inquiry pedagogy.
- The ability to implement initiatives, project delivery and change management.
- Administrative and organisational skills.
- Experience using Library Management Systems.
- Communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to the full life of an independent school and a willingness to engage in School activities out of regular hours.

- Appropriate qualifications
- A valid ACT Working with Vulnerable People Card
- A current National Police Check; and
- Full working rights within Australia.
