**The Role**
You will be required to evaluate FEG/SQN/Unit outcomes against Safety Management System (SMS) and Quality Management System (QMS) criteria, ensure conformance and compliance and assess trends, analyse, implement and monitor strategies and solutions. You will lead complex compliance audits against relevant Defence Aviation Safety Regulations, Work Health and Safety Regulations and other frameworks.

You will assist in the development and implementation of an annual compliance assurance plan for all Surveillance and Reconnaissance Group (SRG) compliance assurance activities. You will be required to execute, monitor and update the Quality management program and processes, which addresses all areas of the Defence Aviation Safety Regulations, Work Health and Safety (WH&S), and other sub safety domain assurance activities.

You may be required to assist in the preparation and conduct of annual Airworthiness Reviews on SRG platforms. You will be required to identify, review and assess complex risks to aviation safety, WH&S and other sub safety domains, and document outcomes to senior management.

**About our Team**
HQSRG A9 Safety Team is dedicated to establishing, maintaining and leading the SRG Safety Management System including assuring safety governance and compliance requirements are effectively managed across SRG platforms. We work with all SRG SQNs/Units and higher headquarters to achieve this.

We are trusted professionals and passionate about Safety Management. The successful applicant will be part of the team responsible for oversight of WH&S (and subordinate safety domains) requirements and must be able to work within a small team, some of whom may be remote.

You will have an understanding and ability to Interpret Defence Aviation Safety Regulations, WH&S policy obligations and provide compliance assessments against relevant requirements. You will have good communication skills, capable of engaging and influencing stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes. You will also be capable of providing high quality advice to military executives, other Directors, staff and stakeholders.
