We are seeking an experienced **Quality and Risk Manager** to join our team and ensure our operations continue to meet the highest standards of safety, compliance, and care.
**About the Role**
This part-time position (2 days per week initially, with the opportunity to increase) is ideal for a motivated professional with a strong background in quality systems, compliance, and risk management.
The **Quality and Risk Manager** will oversee compliance with NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission standards, manage organisational risk frameworks, and foster a culture of quality, accountability, and safety.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop, implement, and maintain the organisation’s **Quality and Risk Management Framework**.
- Ensure compliance with **NDIS Practice Standards**, **NDIS Code of Conduct**, and other relevant regulations.
- Lead internal audits, incident reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Identify, assess, and manage organisational risks, ensuring robust mitigation strategies are in place.
- Monitor and report on performance indicators related to quality, safety, and risk.
- Manage feedback, complaints, and incident reporting systems in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Support staff through training and guidance on quality and compliance practices.
- Collaborate with leadership to promote a culture of continuous improvement and service excellence.
**Skills and Experience**
**Essential**:
- Demonstrated experience in **Quality and Risk Management** within the **NDIS**, **Aged Care**, or **Community Services** sector.
- Strong understanding of **NDIS Practice Standards** and compliance frameworks.
- Proven ability to lead audits, investigations, and quality improvement projects.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills.
**Desirable**:
- Experience with **APO (Approved Provider Organisations)** or similar compliance frameworks.
- Familiarity with ISO quality management systems or accreditation processes.
- Background in human services, disability, or healthcare organisations.
**Qualifications**
- Tertiary qualifications in **Quality Management**, **Risk Management**, **Health Administration**, **Business**, **Community Services**, or a related discipline.
- Additional certifications in **Risk or Compliance Management** (e.g., ISO 31000, Lead Auditor) are highly regarded.
- Current **NDIS Worker Screening Check** and **Working with Children Check** (or willingness to obtain).
