About the Role
**In this role you will be responsible for**:
- Providing specialist advice on utilities and sustainability matters to internal and external stakeholders.
- Managing stakeholder relationships, budget and reporting requirements relevant to the department's utilities funding arrangements.
- Managing external partnerships and governance relating to relevant sustainability strategies and programs.
**What you need to succeed**:
- Effective communication, consultation and negotiation skills with ability to represent the department and to establish and maintain productive partnerships with customers, team members and other stakeholders.
- Ability to inspire, lead and develop members of the team to help them realise their full potential.
- Someone with a passionate and enthusiastic demeanour, who is driven and motivated to achieve sustainability outcomes.
- Ability to work independently, and remain composed during high-stakes situations, taking responsibility to ensure sensitive situations are resolved within a timely manner.
**The following attribute is advantageous but not mandatory**:
- Knowledge of whole of government sustainability strategies and targets.
