**About the role**:
We are seeking a National Distribution Manager
- DSD to lead our team of Distributor Business Managers and our distributor network. Reporting to the National DSD Manager this is an excellent opportunity to work within the leadership group of the DSD team. This is a supportive and high performing team operating in a dynamic and evolving industry.

Key accountabilities of the role are:

- Lead and ensure the success of the national team of Distributor Business Managers by developing, supporting and executing strategies that will lead to increased sales volume, 2Net sales and distribution within the Distributor customer base
- Drive and support the team to achieve agreed KPI’s and metrics in line with Foodservice & DSD LTP
- Proactively identify and leverage opportunities as appropriate to ensure Distributor grows with market opportunities
- Ensure sustainability of delivery at the best cost for the entire DSD network (measure, scrutinise and report on all delivery costs)
- Reduce fixed cost exposure by ensuring future volume losses are match by suitable ways to market
- Develop and sustain relationships with distribution partners
- Internal stakeholder management and influence across Logistics, sales & planning

This role will also be expected to lead a number of strategic and tactical partnerships whilst maintaining transparency throughout the contract life cycle with an operating mantra of continuous improvement and service excellence.

Essential skills:

- Highly developed commercial acumen, finance management and negotiation skills
- A technical or similar qualification & hands-on management skills
- 5 years’ experience in similar customer relationship roles
- Understanding of warehouse, transport operations and experience in high paced FMCG environment
- Proven experience in third party contractor operations and relationship management, or similar
- Working knowledge of commercial contract management
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving ability
- Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills
