**Your responsibilities will include**:

- The position of Aviation Operations Officer based at East Sale is to execute current flight schedules for the 5428 Pilot Program. You will be required to gather, summarise, interpret, report, and maintain information regarding schedule activity to plan and develop current flight schedules.

This will involve the completion of tasks including but not limited to:

- Prepare and maintain relevant flying information utilising the PTS OPS briefing displays.
- Prepare and deliver daily unit flying brief.
- Obtain relevant NOTAM information from NAIPS and the Base Command Post.
- Provision of up-to-date meteorological information from the meteorology office via Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) staff and internet-based services.
- Disseminate general information to PTS East Sale units as required.
- Manage the Daily Flying Program (DFP) to facilitate PTS East Sale flying operations.

**About you**:

- Essential:

- Ability to facilitate and maintain excellent customer relationships.
- Strong organisational, planning, communication, decision making, troubleshooting/problem solving skills coupled with the ability to prioritise and remain calm in challenging circumstances.
- Competent in the use of flight scheduling software e.g. ULTRA Flight Pro.
- Working knowledge of NAIPS (Flight Notifications) and NOTAMs.
- Ability and willingness to work on a rostered basis to meet operational requirements, including night flying support.
- Availability to support away-base deployments for up to two weeks per year.

- Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance and employment may be contingent on the provision of further personal information including citizenship to ensure compliance with international export control legislation and regulations.
