**The Opportunity**:
We are looking for an open minded, motivated Spatial Analyst to join our Sydney Spatial team. You will work collaboratively to deliver GIS services and support our consulting staff. Provide GIS support to clients across Urbis' entire range of projects and activities, from transport to planners and heritage specialists.

**You will**:

- Liaison with consulting staff at all levels of the business to raise awareness of how GIS analysis can contribute to client outcomes;
- Assist in composing maps, with varying levels of complexity from simple to complex, fitting with the corporate brand and standard product specifications as well as cartographic principals to client defined requirements;
- Assist in geo-processing, including concatenation of simple and complex attribute and spatial queries for map display and/or data extraction;
- Strong cartographic vision on all facets of map production, including contributing to a review of current Urbis map templates and cartographic styles;
- Assist in data creation and maintenance (including geocoding) for project specific requirements in addition to maintaining corporate spatial data used by the national GIS team;
- Assist in ensuring a consistency of product flowing out of the GIS team to the wider business;
- Assist in providing input into draft proposals, tenders and submissions for potential projects;
**About You**:

- Tertiary qualifications in Geographic Information Systems or a related discipline
- Working knowledge of ESRI's ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro and A.G.O.L as well as the Microsoft desktop suite
- Experience with a wide variety of spatial data types, including their creation and maintenance
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritise
- 12 months experience preferred
- Strong analytical skills to interpret research data
- Computer literacy including but not limited to Microsoft Office and research databases.
