**About the role**

The **Access and Inclusion Advisor** is responsible for the provision of specialist disability related services and information to support students living with disability to achieve equitable participation at TAFE SA. The incumbent will liaise with lecturers and other TAFE SA staff and work strategically to support the inclusion of students at TAFE SA.

**Key Responsibilities include**
- Assesses disability support needs and collaborate with relevant staff members to provide reasonable adjustments and support to students.
- Development and implementation of Access Plans for students living with disability.
- Provide specialist training and consultancy support to other Student Success and Wellbeing staff delivering services for students living with disability.
- Knowledge and understanding of the unique barriers to accessing support for apprentices and trainees living with disability.

**Key Selection Criteria**:

- Understanding of the concepts of reasonable adjustments and inherent requirements within an educational setting.
- Experience in service delivery for people with disabilities within an educational context is highly desired.
- Knowledge and experience in the areas of assistive technology, or other relevant specialist disability experience is desirable. (i.e. wayfinding, augmented communications).

**Special Conditions**
- Out of hours work will be required.
- Some intrastate/ interstate travel and overnight absences may be required.
- Incumbent will be required to participate in the department’s Performance Development Program.
- Eligibility to work in Australia.
