The Corporate Governance team ensures good governance, is the custodian of the risk management and integrity framework, facilitates internal audit and leads strategic planning and is responsible for reporting to the Authority’s Governing Board and Audit & Risk Committee.

**About us**

The Portable Long Service Authority is an independent statutory body established to administer the Long Service Benefits Portability Act 2018. The Act, together with the Long Service Benefits Portability Regulations 2020 provide a Portable Long Service Benefits Scheme.

The Portable Long Service Benefits Scheme began on 1 July 2019 to ensure eligible workers in the community services, contract cleaning and security industries can build up long service benefits based on time in their industry, rather than with a single employer.

**About the Opportunity**

The Governance and Risk Adviser, Corporate Governance supports the delivery of the Authorities risk management and integrity framework, strategic planning and project management, and supports the efficient and effective running of the assurance and insurance functions of the Authority**.**
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate the delivery of internal audit programs, and/or demonstrated audit program experience in a non-government environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of Victorian state government risk, insurance and governance compliance requirements and/or demonstrated experience of ensuring compliance with similar governance obligations in a non-government setting.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare reports and briefs on issues, delivering them within required timeframes.
- Contribute as a flexible and versatile team member whilst achieving organisational objectives.
