Our client is an Australian owned heavy engineering fabrication business with significant infrastructure across three branches in WA. They have just completed construction of a new multi-storey purpose-built manufacturing facility that will enable them to continue expansion leveraging their strong reputation across the transport and mining industries.
As a consequence of this planned growth, they now have a requirement for a senior level HR specialist to lead the delivery of high-quality strategic and operational human resources strategies.
**Reporting directly to the Managing Director and leading a small team of HR, Safety and Recruitment people, the main duties of the role will include**:
- Designing and implementing HR strategy that creates opportunities to build and develop capability across the business.
- Creating and maintaining a healthy positive workplace culture aligned to the business’s values.
- Ensuring best practice effective recruitment and the delivery of attraction, employee engagement and retention strategies.
- Guiding employee relations and performance management initiatives.
**To be successful you will need**:
- Significant experience in a career greater than ten years in human resources.
- Previous experience in engineering, manufacturing, mining services, transport, or a related industry.
- Demonstrable skills in influencing the development and implementation of corporate Human Resource policy and strategy.
- A background in strategic sourcing with an understanding of visa and immigration requirements.
- Capability to lead, coach, mentor and guide staff contributing to their on-going development.
- Experience working with apprenticeship programs will be considered and advantage.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications.
