**Classification**: Staff Specialist Level 1 - Level 5 (Level election optional).

About the role

The Staff Specialist works with the surgical multidisciplinary team in provided excellent patient care within Calvary Mater Newcastle to maximise the health outcomes for the community. The Staff Specialist will lead and role model professional clinical service delivery, providing expert advice and mentoring for less experienced staff.

Key Responsibilities

Experience in General Surgery and Emergency General Surgery
Buidling capacity with the surgical clinical trials
Provide a leadership and mentoring role within the surgical team
