**About the Company**
Our large NSW State Government client provides a diverse range of essential services to reduce criminal activity and enhance protection of the community.

**About the Role**
They are currently seeking a highly talented and professional Solicitor to join their growing team in Sydney Olympic Park. This is an estimated 12-month temporary assignment, with a potential to extend.

Working within People, Performance & Governance Division, you will provide legal advice, guidance and solutions to the Director, Governance, Director, Temporary Housing and the Executive leadership team, often complex, politically and commercially sensitive operational, strategic, financial and reputational issues

In this rewarding role, you will be undertaking the following duties
- Deliver expert, clear and high-quality legal services to internal stakeholders
- Proactively ensure systematic and strategic legal program and project risk is identified and raised with the Executive team
- Represent the Commissioner and Executive Directors in discussions with other key stakeholders in matters requiring legal representation
- Oversee and manage the coordination of outsourced legal services in accordance with policies and procedures
- Commission expert outsourced legal advice as required
- Create a framework on performance of engaged outsourced legal services that is scalable, commercially astute and measurable deliverables
- Establish and maintain effective, productive and professional stakeholder relationships
- Undertake legal and administrative matters
- Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis on contentious issues
- Interpret, analyse and prepare complex legal documentation including legal records, correspondence, legislation, policies, reports, submissions, contracts and briefing notes
- Capitalise on opportunities to enhance capability and create a service delivery culture
- Ensure compliance with practice management standards

**About You**
To be successful in this great assignment you will have the following
- Tertiary Law Qualifications
- Legal Practising Certificate and admission as a Solicitor of the NSW Supreme Court
- Proven experience and knowledge on Commercial/Corporate Law essential
- Solid analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills
- Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written
- Superior organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
- Takes initiative, with a strong team and task focus
- Flexibility to undertake occasional day travel
- Willingness to undergo a National Police Check
- Fully COVID vaccinated or medically exempt
- Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment
