Payroll Officer

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated **Payroll Officer **to join our dedicated and passionate Payroll team in **Clayton **for a 6 month contract.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for processing the fortnightly payroll in accordance with legislation, policies, procedures, and awards.

You will deliver excellence in customer service and be the expert key user of our systems (ADP Payforce & TANDA time & attendance), while actively working towards continuous improvement solutions.

**Key responsibilities of this role include**:

- Ensuring timely and accurate processing of fortnightly payroll for 650+ employees
- Reconciling general ledger payroll accounts
- Keeping up to date with changes in legislation and ensuring we comply with all federal and state regulations
- Reviewing and auditing payroll data and reporting on findings, while fixing any inaccuracies
- Payment of annual incentives, ensuring accuracy with tax, workers compensation and superannuation calculations

Attention to detail is your number one strength, you find a needle in a haystack and you work hard to uncover why it was there and how we can ensure it isn’t found again.

**To be considered for this role you will have the following skills, experience & attributes**:

- Previous payroll experience in a similar role, working with an automated payroll environment - such as ADP, Kronos, SAP and others
- Proven skills and ability to interpret, analyse and summarise data
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Experience working to tight time frames
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Confidence in communicating with all levels of employees and leaders
