Join a dynamic team within our Risk Management Group's Enterprise Support Division, responsible for ensuring Risk Surveillance systems, data controls, and data governance meet the risk requirements of Macquarie Business Groups.
As a Product Owner for Data within the Risk Surveillance Products and Capability's Data Management Team, you will be reporting to the Principal Product Owner - Data, who is responsible for ensuring the data for the Risk Surveillance systems is fit for purpose and meets Risk Surveillance strategic business objectives.
You will act as an operational/project data steward to manage the metadata, data quality and completeness and support project data sourcing.
**In this role, you will**:
- Support BAU data analysis across Macquarie's internal and market data requirements for trade surveillance.
- Support data sourcing, profiling and mapping for projects, and work with Trade Surveillance Product Owners and Technology partners to prioritise the ‘Data’ book of work to ensure delivery.
- Partner with the Trade Surveillance Business and Operational Support, Enterprise Data Management, and Risk Surveillance Technology teams to manage metadata, data quality and completeness.
- Partner with upstream data producers and data owners to assess and identify Critical Data Elements.
- Participate in change management activities where required.
**You will have**:
- Good knowledge of financial markets products.
- Basic SQL scripting skills.
- Exposure to Power BI, Alteryx, DWH concepts and Python.
- Good understanding of key regulations impacting data requirements (e.g. MiFID, GDPR etc.)
- Good knowledge of data architecture, Data (ETL) processes, data modelling, data analytics and visualisation.
To be successful in this role, you will need to bring prior knowledge and experience in trading data, including market data, profiling and analysis experience, with a good understanding of Trade Surveillance. You will also need a risk mindset and be able to design and implement data controls. It will be advantageous if you have worked in an agile environment within the Financial Services industry.

The Risk Management Group (RMG) is an independent, centralized unit responsible for ensuring all risk across Macquarie are appropriately assessed and managed. Its divisions include Behavioural Risk, Compliance, Credit, Financial Crime Risk, Internal Audit, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Regulatory Affairs and Aggregate Risk, and RMG Enterprise Support.
