**CAMPUS SECURITY GUARDS**

**ONE FULLTIME ROLE AND SEVERAL CASUAL ROLES AVAILABLE**

Casual positions and one fulltime role is available for Campus patrol guards & Control room positions based in Hobart

You will be responsible for both the safety and provision of excellent customer service to students & staff across multiple University campuses and to ensure that the assets of the university are protected. You will be required to respond to or report incidents as they occur and follow routine patrols on foot or in a vehicle as you work through a service schedule.

**You will be required to**:

- Provide both external/internal security services including regular patrols in all weather conditions - on foot and in a vehicle
- Assist with emergency responses as directed.
- Provide surveillance of abnormal incidents including monitoring of CCTV equipment.
- Be able to escalate and work with multiple key stakeholders.
- Provide information and assistance to staff, students and service contractors as necessary.
- Submit written reports on all incidents in a timely manner
- Follow policies, procedures and instructions relating to work health and safety that are relevant to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality and safe services in the workplace
- Assist with the delivery of services to clients as required

**To be successful in this role**:

- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
- **Monitoring room on Licence a MUST**:

- Full working rights in Australia
- Current TAS Security Licence
- **MUST HAVE 3 YEARS MINIMUM EXPERIENCE**:

- Current Working With Vulnerable People card
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current (within 6 Months) Police Check
- Availability to be flexible with the rostering schedules
- Ability to provide a safe environment for all staff, students and the general public.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Available to work rotating shifts - rotating in 12-hour shifts across 7 days.
- Ability to be a lateral thinker in solving issues that may arise
- Sound understanding of conflict resolution
- Sound administration and computer skills
