This is a static guard role, ideal for someone who thrives in a team-oriented environment and is committed to ensuring the safety and smooth operation of the premises.**Key Responsibilities:*** Provide a professional, courteous, and helpful point of contact for staff and visitors, assisting with general inquiries and directions.* Respond appropriately and promptly to incidents, emergencies, or security breaches, ensuring the safety of all personnel and visitors.* Monitor and control access points to the building, ensuring only authorised personnel are granted entry.* Work collaboratively as part of a team to maintain high-security standards and resolve any issues that arise.**Ideal candidates will have:*** Excellent communication skills, with the ability to deescalate tense situations.* A readiness, confidence, and assertiveness to manage challenging situations.* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.**Requirements:*** Full Australian working rights.* Certificate II (or higher) in Security Operations.* Valid Tasmanian Security licence.* Valid First Aid and CPR certificates (or willing to obtain).* Working With Vulnerable People (or willing to obtain).## **How to apply**MSS Security is an Equal Opportunity Employer, valuing the unique backgrounds, experiences, and contributions of each person We encourage and celebrate diversity.We are proud to:* be certified by the Workplace Gender Equality Agency,* be a partner and supporter of Veterans employment and honoured to have an endorsed INNOVATE Reconciliation Action Plan.
